All of the Actors in each cast at the Academy Theatre are local volunteers!

Open auditions are held for every production, and a cast is chosen based on those auditions. Throughout each season, opportunities for actors of all ages, abilities, and experience levels are available. 

​

Casts rehearse for approximately 8-10 weeks before the opening of a show, and rehearsals are typically held Sunday-Thursday from 7:00pm-10:00pm up until the final week before opening (tech week).

Tech week rehearsals are every day of the week, and may last longer than a typical rehearsal.

 

*Actors are generally not called for every night of rehearsal.

*Rehearsal schedules vary depending on the director and production.
