***In-person auditions are preferred, but if you are unable to attend auditions, you may submit an audition video for consideration. Your video should include your name, what role you are interested in, if any, what you will sing, and a prepared 32-bar cut of a song from "ROCK OF AGES." Your email should include your contact info and your resume and headshot (if you have them) as well as any conflicts you may have for rehearsal/performance dates. AUDITION PREPARATION:
Please come prepared with 32-bar/1-minute cut of a song from ROCK OF AGES.

Featuring the music of hit bands such as Styx, Poison, Twisted Sister, and Whitesnake among many others, this Tenth Anniversary production features a dynamic new cast revisiting the larger than life characters and exhilarating story that turned ROCK OF AGES into a global phenomenon. BREAKDOWN:
DREW: Male Identifying, 20s (Vocal Range: Bb3-A4 comfortably & up to D5) A good-guy rocker with boyish charm and vulnerability. Drew works as a bar back at the legendary Bourbon Room hoping and waiting for his dreams to come true. He finds an instant attraction to Sherrie, the new arrival from the Midwest, who encourages him to go after his dreams. Strong comedic timing and a very strong rock tenor voice.
SHERRIE: Female Identifying, 20s (Vocal Range: G3-F5, strong belt up to C5) A fresh faced, innocent Midwestern girl stepping right off the bus into a new world to pursue her dreams of stardom in LA. She finds an instant attraction to Drew but gets mixed up with the wrong crowd and finds herself working in an erotic dance club. Strong comedic timing, strong rock belt, good movement ability.
LONNY: Male Identifying, late 20s - 40s (Vocal Range: D3-D5, mostly A4-A5) The narrator of the musical; charming, mischievous, welcoming, vibrant personality. Acts toxically masculine but actually has a heart of gold. Strong comedic timing/improv skills and strong rock vocals.
DENNIS DUPREE: Male Identifying, 30s - 40s (Vocal Range: D3-G4) Laid back and easy-going, Dennis runs the famous Bourbon Room club on the Sunset Strip. Fatherly figure. Torn about whether he should sell the club to Hertz, a German businessman. Very strong comedic timing and Bari-tenor rock vocals.
STACEE JAXX/FATHER: Male Identifying, 30s - 40s (Vocal Range: C3-Bb4 comfortably & up to Eb5) A sexy rock star. He is at the top of his game and just left his very successful metal rock band to venture out on his own. Self-important, confident, and intriguing in all the wrong ways, he is the ultimate bad boy. His life is a merry-go-round of sex, drugs, and rock-n-roll. Very strong comedic timing and strong rock tenor voice.
JUSTICE/MOTHER: Female Identifying, 40s - 50s (Vocal Range: G3-Db5 also with strong belt) She has a commanding presence and an easy sensuality about her. Once a performer, she now operates a strip club where Sherrie winds up working. Takes on the maternal role for the girls that work for her. Strong, soulful vocals and belt needed.
HERTZ KLINEMANN: Male Identifying, 40s - 60s (Vocal Range: F3-G#4) A middle-aged German gentleman. Uptight, cold, intimidating businessman trying to buy up the Strip to develop it. Our villain, with a commanding presence, strong comedic timing, and baritone vocals. German accent.
FRANZ KLINEMANN: Male Identifying, 20s -30s (Vocal Range: Db3-A4) Hertz’s “foppish” son. Works for his father but not by choice. Pressured and intimidated by his father. Shy, gentle with a big heart. Strong vocals and comedic timing. German accent.
REGINA/CANDY: Female Identifying, 20s - 30s (Vocal Range: A3-Eb5) A fun, hippie type, earthy girl who fights against the attempted takeover of The Strip. Strong comedic timing, belt vocals. Candy works at the erotic dance club.
MAYOR/JA'KEITH/ENSEMBLE: Male Identifying, 20s - 40s A strong character actor with good comedic timing to play numerous roles. Strong rock tenor and strong dance/movement ability.
JOEY PRIMO/ENSEMBLE: Male Identifying, 20s - 40s A young male with the rocker sensibility. Strong rock tenor and strong dance/movement ability.
WAITRESS #1/ENSEMBLE: Female Identifying, 20s – 30s One of the sassiest female singer/dancers around. Plays various characters in the ensemble. Strong dancer, comedic ability, and strong rock vocals. Ensemble character works at the erotic dance club.
WAITRESS #2/ENSEMBLE: Female Identifying, 20s – 30s Plays various characters in the ensemble. Strong dancer, comedic ability, and strong rock vocals. Ensemble character works at the erotic dance club.
WAITRESS #3/SHERRIE DANCER DOUBLE/CONSTANCE/ENSEMBLE: Female Identifying, 20s – 30s Plays various characters in the ensemble. Constance is a reporter who tries to keep professional while interviewing Stacee Jaxx. Strong dancer, comedic ability, and strong rock vocals. Ensemble character works at the erotic dance club.
