A Message to Our Friends Regarding COVID-19
Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those whose health and well-being have been affected by the pandemic. We hope you, your family, and friends are staying healthy and safe.
After much deliberation, as well as time and effort in gathering information, we have sadly decided to not move forward with opening our 2020-2021 season. The challenges are many, the uncertainties far too great, and our number one priority is the health and safety of our volunteers and patrons.
While the stage will remain dark for the time being, we are thrilled to continue offering entertainment and educational opportunities virtually! We will offer Facebook Live theatre classes in music, dance, and acting. We will also continue our virtual Bit of Broadway series each month, with some of Meadville's favorite vocalists performing favorites from previous seasons, brand new pieces, and even requests! Please continue to check Facebook and our website for updates.
Again, your health and safety are our top priority. We will share our plans with you as to when we can safely re-open the theatre as per government health official protocol. Until then, we cannot wait to welcome you back to the Academy and share the absolute best of productions when the curtain rises once again. Remember, this is only intermission!
Stay safe, and be well,
Julia G. Kemp
